Throughout 2024 and 2025, American Glory and her sisterships will operate various itineraries exploring the East Coast from Maine to Florida. American Glory's christening follows the August 2023 christening of the series flagship, American Eagle, in Buzzards Bay, Massachusetts. American Glory will continue her Florida Gulf Coast & Keys cruises through March 2024 and later in November and December. Another sister ship, American Legend, is set to join American Glory later in the year, also offering Florida Gulf Coast & Keys cruises starting in November. The celebration included various attendees such as local dignitaries, community members, cruise guests, and port and marina officials. Charles B. Robertson, President & CEO of American Cruise Lines, delivered remarks and introduced the Honorable Teri Johnston, Mayor of Key West, as the Godmother of American Glory.
Construction begins on ACL's 3rd new Coastal Cat, American Liberty
The American Glory is the newest ship in American’s ongoing series of 12 new Coastal Cats for exploring U.S. waterways. Additional ships in the series are already under construction, with the next two scheduled for delivery in 2024. The Coastal Cats, like American Glory, reaffirm ACL’s commitment to exploring the coastal regions of the United States, from Alaska to Florida and everywhere in between. In 2024 it will offer the seven-night Cape Codder itinerary, round-trip from Boston.

The ACL American Glory cruise ship cabins page is conveniently interlinked with its deck plans showing deck layouts combined with a legend and review of all onboard venues. American Cruise Lines takes great pride in the generous size of our staterooms, which are the largest in the industry, averaging 300 square feet, and ranging from 250 to 650 square feet. Each has an interior entrance allowing for unobstructed outside views of the breathtaking scenery of America. The 1267-ton, 49-passenger American Glory was US-flagged and crewed and fully-owned by ACL.

All ACL cruise ships are US-flagged and built by the company-owned Chesapeake Shipbuilding Yard in Salisbury MD (Maryland USA). Since 2022, domestic flights (between airports in the USA/including all the company's 19 ports in 16 US states) are with flat-rate priced airfares (fixed/not subject to future changes). Also since 2022, ACL prices are inclusive of a pre-cruise hotel overnight in the homeport/departure port city.

The boat was seaworthy and compliant with the USA's PVSA (Passenger Vessel Services Act of 1886) which allowed it to transport passengers between US ports directly (without visiting a foreign seaport along the current itinerary). Dubbed the “Coastal Cats”, American Glory and sister-ship American Eagle are part of a newbuild program that could see up to 12 similar vessels enter service for American Cruise Lines over the next few years. Two additional vessels are due to enter service for American Cruise Lines in 2024. There is a main dining room and cafe and, notably for a small ship, the option for room service. The hub of the vessel is the panoramic forward lounge on Deck 2, and there is also a smaller lounge next to the cafe on Deck 3. 15-day / 14-night "East Coast Inland Passage Cruise" (visiting 15 ports) is a one-way itinerary operated between homeports Baltimore MD and Jacksonville/Amelia Island FL.
In the near future, the laying on the bottom cruise ship will be visited only by scuba divers and snorkeling enthusiasts - welcoming them with its silent decks and crew- and passenger-free cabins and public areas. Visiting only U.S. ports of call, the American-flagged ships of American Cruise Lines have grown more modern and elaborate over the past few years. The company’s riverboats, like American Serenade, have embraced modern styling that does away with the traditional paddlewheel feature and decor found on many U.S. based river vessels. The second of ACL’s brand-new Coastal Cat fleet, American Glory follows the launch of American Eagle this past summer, and the riverboat American Serenade earlier this year.

Around 50% have step-out balconies, all are with large windows and en-suite bathrooms. Launching in fall 2023, American Glory is the second of 12 identical ships in American Cruise Lines' Project Blue Eagle-class, which features all-new environmentally friendly hybrid catamaran-style vessels. 11-day / 10-night "American Revolution Cruise" is a roundtrip from Baltimore MD. Call ports include Norfolk VA, Williamsburg VA, Yorktown VA, Washington DC, Mount Vernon VA, Potomac River cruising, Cambridge MD, St Michaels MD, Annapolis MD.
ACL's American Glory ship has 4 passenger decks and accommodates 54 guests in 27 staterooms (no Suites, 14 Balcony, 13 Oceanview, no Inside) in 6 cabin grades. Your Space The ‘country-club’ atmosphere onboard allows guests to relax and get to know their fellow travellers who share their interest in American history and culture. The two spacious lounges offer ample room for passengers to sit in solitude and enjoy peace and quiet as well as make friends and enjoy a social atmosphere. The beauty of the ship is that it is small enough to get to know people and make new friends, yet spacious enough to enjoy a peaceful cruise depending on your preference.
The ship measures 241feet and carries 109 passengers at full occupancy with 50 crew. Following the maiden cruise, American Glory will spend the rest of the season sailing on the seven-night Historic South & Golden Isles itinerary between Charleston and Jacksonville and the 14-night East Coast Inland Passage cruise from Baltimore. A stand out facility is the adventure and swim deck, equipped with kayaks and a tender to offer a different perspective of the waterways being visited. “I’m going to the new resort today to the spa,” Gwen Courville said, a passenger from Louisiana. American Cruise Lines’ newest ship, which travels from St. Petersburg and Tampa to Key West and back within eight days, has made its second stop in Punta Gorda. American Glory, the second Coastal Cat (catamaran-type ship) launched by ACL-American Cruise Lines this year, has successfully completed sea trials.
Because of their smaller sizes, ACL ships can visit smaller ports to offer their guests exceptional tours to little-known scenic sites and important historic places in the USA. Life Onboard A typical day will include an informal breakfast with your fellow guests, an exploration ashore with experienced guides followed by time cruising. The atmosphere onboard is very relaxed with the emphasis on discovery and enjoying time spent with like-minded travellers.
American Cruise Lines is continuing its partnership with leading Miami-based design company Studio DADO to create the interiors of American Glory. The ship's vibe will combine a modern and sophisticated feel with interiors promoting a sense of pride and appreciation for U.S. history and heritage. The decor, furnishings and art work will reflect the culture of the New England, Chesapeake Bay, and the Southeast where American Glory will sail. Follows the review of ACL American Glory ship cabins as amenities, furniture and included (complimentary) services.
